COVID-19 Information

To ensure that the event meets the requirements of COVID-19 infection control, ESDIP works closely with its event partners, especially representatives of Titanic Chaussee Berlin towards a hygiene concept that offers all participants and event partners the best possible health protection.

The event is a so-called "3G event" (vaccinated or recovered or tested).

Wearing a face mask, such as FFP2 / KN95 or surgical mask, is recommended.

The concept is based on the applicable national and local regulations for infection protection as well as the Infection Protection Ordinance of the State of Berlin and the recommendations of the Robert Koch Institute.

The key points of the hygiene concept are listed below (updated: June 10th, 2022). All participants will be asked to acknowledge the following measures, among others, in the course of their registration:

1. Access

Access to the venue in general, the main congress, the exhibition and all accompanying meetings is subject to the following points:

  • proof of immunity or recent test (proof of identification required):

    • preferably with an EU Digital COVID Certificate (QR code) to document a complete vaccination with vaccine(s) approved in the EU (EMA) or by the US-FDA (vaccination at least 14 days prior to the Congress); alternatively, with proof of complete vaccination (WHO yellow vaccination booklet) with non-EMA or -FDA approved vaccines that are WHO-approved, plus an additional negative SARS-CoV2-PCR test that is not older than 48 hours.

    • alternatively, after recovery from COVID-19 (as documented by positive PCR test result between 28 days and 6 months ago). If the infection occurred longer than 6 months ago, additional proof of at least one EMA- or FDA-approved vaccination (at least 14 days prior to the Congress) is required.

    • alternatively, a negative SARS-CoV2 test result (not older than 48h) from a rapid antigen test or PCR test. A testing center is available in the venue.

  • contact details (name, address, email or phone number) need to be provided during registration. If there is a justified need, these will be made available exclusively to the health authorities in order to be able to trace possible chains of infection.

  • mask recommendation: wearing a face mask, such as FFP2 / KN95 or surgical mask, is recommended.

2. Organizational measures

Furthermore, the following organizational measures are taken to prevent infections:

  • Implementation of a dedicated exhibition concept with safety distances.
  • Defined upper limit of persons for each area according to current guidelines of local authorities.
  • Organizational measures to avoid queues.
  • Provision of disinfectant for hand disinfection.
  • Increased surface disinfection such as doors, tables, etc.

3. General Regulations

We recommend that all visitors, guests, exhibitors and employees of the event partners and the ECDP team download and use the Corona Warn App and check in during the event to support contact tracing.
